What are Beeswax Wraps?
Beeswax wraps are the eco-friendly and superior alternative to plastic cling wrap, aluminium foil and ziplock bags. They are reusable, easy to use and keep your food fresh.
Why use Beeswax Wraps?
Because plastic cling wrap is bad! It's not recyclable and definitely not biodegradable. Which means it either goes to landfill and stays there for hundreds of years or ends up somewhere on our land or in our oceans for animals to deal with. Also, beeswax wraps are fun to use and look beautiful!
How do I use my Beeswax Wraps?
Using beeswax wraps is easy. Simply mould the wrap around your food or bowl and hold for 1-2 seconds while applying a bit of pressure. This will soften the beeswax and make it stick to itself or the bowl.
What are Beeswax Wraps made from?
We source only the best ingredients,
- Local Brisbane, Australia Beeswax
- Pinus Massoniana Food Grade Resin
- Coconut oil
- GOTS Certified Organic Cotton Fabric
These ingredients also make our wraps naturally antibacterial.
What do Bee Love Wraps smell like?
Our wraps have a subtle beeswax/honey smell to them. This smell does not transfer to your food and will decrease over time.
How long do Beeswax Wraps last?
Since beeswax wraps are a natural product, they do break down after time. Depending on what you use them for, and how well you take care of them, they should last you anywhere from 6 to 24 months or more. Keeping the same wrap around your block of cheese for weeks will damage them less than using them for lunches every day.
How do I care for my Beeswax Wraps?
Caring for your wraps is simple.
After use, clean the wraps using cold soapy water, leave to drip dry and store them anywhere away from direct sunlight.
Make sure to avoid any direct heat to get the maximum life out of your wraps. Beeswax wraps are not recommended to be used with raw meat or fish since you cannot use hot water to clean them.
